PRODUCT REVIEW: Pro-Tek Classic Bucky Helmet

If you are a frequent cable rider or you just like to protect you head then you are going to need a good lid. If you do need to get yourself a new lid then Pro-Tec is a company that has been around for years and is a name/brand that I have been using for a really long time now!

I needed to get myself a new helmet for a while now but I struggle to fit a helmet that fits right. Call me old school but I really like a wide and deep helmet! There are a ton of brands making helmets right now but the Pro-Tec “Classic Bucky” has to be my helmet of choice. You might have guessed that this is the pro model of skate legend Buck Lasek that might contribute to the old skool look and feel.

HITS

Here are a couple of things we really like about the “Classic Bucky” Lid.

Fit: I have sort of gone through this with the intro but the fit is the main draw-card to this lid. It has a wide and deep fit and you know that you’re wearing a helmet that has a sit-in feel not a sit-on feel. In my opinion there is nothing worse that having a helmet that is loose on the top of your head!

Look: I personally love the look of the “Classic Bucky” Lid. When Bucky was designing this lid he basically took a 1970’s full cut helmet and trimmed the ears off to create something that suiting his own style and flair.

Materials: The foam is dual layer which means good comfort and the strap is classic
Pro-Tec, which is comfortable on your ears and neck and won’t rub or irritate you.

MISSES

I am happy to say this helmet ticks all the boxes for me and there is nothing bad to report.

OVERALL

Overall this is one dirty helmet! It gives you a bit of a blast from the past and at the same time is super comfortable and offers great protection. Pro-Tek and Buckey are onto a winner here!
